Two trustees from the North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA) are taking their support to new heights - literally!
Kim Spencer and Daniel Head, both long time trustees, will be skydiving from 15,000 feet to raise essential funds for NWAA. They鈥檙e calling on fellow thrill-seekers to join them on 8th March at the Black Knights Skydiving Centre for an unforgettable experience.
Kim and Dan, both from 蜜桃直播, have been dedicated NWAA trustees, they've witnessed the charity鈥檚 lifesaving work first hand and were inspired to take on this daring challenge.
Kim, a solicitor and trustee since 2008, is no stranger to pushing her limits. 鈥淚鈥檝e always been active - I run regularly and have even completed a half marathon. But I wanted a real challenge, something that would inspire people to donate. Last year, I climbed Mont Blanc, but I鈥檝e never jumped out of a plane! When I saw the skydive challenge on Facebook, I thought, 鈥榃hy not?鈥� Plus, I knew my friends and family would think I was nuts鈥攕o they鈥檇 be more likely to sponsor me.鈥�
Before signing up, Kim encouraged her fellow trustees to join in. 鈥淚 sent Dan a message with a picture of the challenge and said, 鈥楾rustee day out?鈥� His first response was hesitant, but an hour later, he was in.鈥�
The duo has already raised 拢1,600 through their JustGiving page and hopes to exceed 拢2,000. 鈥淣WAA is a service you don鈥檛 think about until you need it,鈥� Kim added. 鈥淎nd when you do, it鈥檚 a matter of life and death. That鈥檚 why we鈥檙e doing this - to ensure the team can keep saving lives across the North West.鈥�
In 2024 alone, NWAA鈥檚 dedicated crew responded to over 3,100 emergencies across the North West, including 1,246 missions in 蜜桃直播. Every pound raised through events like this helps fund their critical operations, ensuring they can continue delivering lifesaving care.
Charlotte Carnell, NWAA鈥檚 Events Manager, praised the trustees鈥� efforts: 鈥淚t鈥檚 fantastic to see Kim and Dan stepping out of their comfort zones and supporting the charity in such an adventurous way.
